Collect Checkout is a hosted shopping cart that lets you accept online payments quickly, securely, and without needing any coding experience. You can create custom checkout buttons, add products, and share payment links via your website, social media, or email. This tool is ideal for businesses that want to start accepting payments online fast—even if you don’t have a website or a developer on staff.
What Is Collect Checkout?
Collect Checkout is an easy-to-use payment solution where customers complete their purchases on a secure, hosted page. You can generate payment links or buttons for:
- Product sales
- Donations
- Storing customer payment info for later use (without charging them immediately)
These links can be placed on your site, emailed, or shared on social media.
When to Use Collect Checkout
Collect Checkout is perfect for:
- Businesses without a full ecommerce website
- Merchants who want a fast setup
- Nonprofits accepting donations online
- Anyone wanting a "Pay Now" link in emails or digital invoices
It also includes options for developers to build advanced checkout integrations if needed.
Prerequisites
To access Collect Checkout, you must have the Access Collect Checkout permission enabled for your user account.
How to Enable Permission
- Log in to your Merchant Portal.
- Navigate to Options → Settings → User Accounts.
- Click the username you want to edit.
- Under Permissions, check Access Collect Checkout.
- Click Save.

- From the left-hand menu, select Collect Checkout.
Creating Checkout Buttons with the Button Generator
What Is the Button Generator?
The Button Generator creates a secure, hosted checkout link without requiring any code. This lets you:
- Add one or more products
- Share a payment link or embed a button on your website
- Download a QR code for print or digital use
Types of Buttons You Can Create
- Sale: Standard product checkout page
- Donation: Lets customers enter an amount to donate (optional recurring donations)
- Add to Vault: Saves customer payment details for later billing
Note: Your service provider can enable the Donation option for your account.
How to Create Each Type of Button
Sale Button
You can either select specific products or allow the customer to enter an amount.
Option A: Choose Products
- Ensure you have products set up in Product Manager.
- Click Select a Product and choose your item(s).
- Set quantity, payment methods, and options.
- Click Create Checkout Button.
Option B: Let Customer Choose Amount
- Enter a description (e.g., "Invoice Payment").
- Select currency and click Add.
- Choose payment methods and any options.
- Click Create Checkout Button.
Donation Button
- Enter a description (e.g., "Support Our Mission").
- (Optional) Enable recurring donation option.
- Choose currency, payment methods, and options.
- Click Create Checkout Button.
Add to Vault Button
- Select accepted payment methods.
- Choose any additional options.
- Click Create Vault Button.
Customizing the Checkout Page
Options You Can Enable
- Prompt for shipping information
- Email customer a receipt
Required Fields & Advanced Features
- Choose which fields are required or optional
- Add a Success URL or Cancel URL
- Success URL: where customers land after a successful payment
- Cancel URL: where they go if they cancel checkout
- Use an existing Checkout Key for added security
Look and Feel Settings
Customize your checkout’s visual style:
- Choose your color scheme and preview changes live.
- Add custom header text to match your branding.
Go to Collect Checkout > Look and Feel to customize.
Always click Save All Changes to apply updates
URL Allowlist
To use custom redirect URLs (Success/Cancel), add them to your allowlist first:
- Go to Collect Checkout → URL Allowlist.
- Click +Add URL.
- Enter the full domain or webpage you want to allow.
- Click Add URL.
Button Management and History
View or Delete Buttons
- Go to Collect Checkout → History to see all buttons
- Click any button to view the link, HTML code, or QR code
- To delete a button, click Delete under the Actions column (note: this is permanent)
Customer Experience
- Customers click the link, enter their info, and complete payment
- A receipt is emailed automatically (if enabled)
- For Vault-only buttons, the page says "Save Payment Info" instead of "Pay"
Developer Option
If you have a developer, they can build custom checkout buttons using the integration documentation provided by your merchant service provider.
Common Questions
Why don't I see the Donation option?
Your provider may need to enable the donation setting. Contact your Merchant Service Provider.
Can I remove CAPTCHA from the checkout page?
No. CAPTCHA is required to prevent spam and fraud.
Do Collect Checkout links expire?
No. The link remains active unless you delete it or remove the associated product.
Does Kount work with Collect Checkout?
Yes. Kount is supported if enabled on your account.
Can I apply surcharges to Collect Checkout?
Not at this time. Surcharging is not supported.
