Overview
This article walks you through how to install and begin using the Shopify plugin with your payment gateway. Once connected, you’ll be able to securely accept online payments, view transaction data, and manage refunds from within your Shopify dashboard.
This new plugin also includes enhanced security and fraud protection features to help reduce chargebacks and interruptions. Merchants gain access to deeper analytics and reliable transaction performance.
Prerequisites
Before installing, your payment provider must enable the Shopify plugin on your merchant account.
- If the service is activated, you can install it immediately.
- If it’s offered, you’ll need to accept the terms and activate it in your Merchant Portal first.
Fees may apply based on your agreement with your provider.
How to Install the Shopify Plugin
You can install the plugin directly from your Merchant Portal:

- Click Install.
- You'll be redirected to Shopify.
- Select the Shopify store you want to connect.
- Click Install App.

You can verify successful installation by going back to Marketplace Apps → Shopify in your Merchant Portal. Look for the “Created On” date.
Once installed, you’ll automatically gain access to enhanced reporting dashboards in both your store and merchant portal.
Viewing Reports and Transactions
After setup, you can view transaction data in two places:
- Shopify Dashboard – for order status, refunds, and shopper details.
- Merchant Portal – for transaction-level reporting.
To view Shopify-specific transactions in your Merchant Portal:
- Go to Transaction Snapshot
- Use Group By: Transaction Source
- Select Shopify as the source
Shopify now surfaces more robust data, such as purchase behavior and sales insights, without logging into a separate portal.
